Lady Gaga’s performance at the inaugural ball for President Obama's White House staffers Tuesday was supposed to be a top-secret surprise. But now that the secret is out, one of the hardest invites to get in D.C. has become even harder to get.

“They are being very strict on tickets for this,” one Washington, D.C., insider tells The Huffington Post. “She is 'allegedly' performing at the staff ball at the Convention Center on Tuesday. It is campaign staff and White House staff and their guests only.”

At the last staffers' ball, Jay-Z sang a rendition of his hit “99 Problems,” changing the lyrics to include a joke about former President George W. Bush. Which leaves many to wonder what lyric changes Gaga has up her sleeve.

“It’s the best ball of the entire celebration,” one person who attended four years ago says. “It’s just for friends and family and you can really let your hair down and have fun. The only purpose of this ball is to celebrate that those who worked on the campaign so hard did it. Now everyone is laughing about if they should wear meat dresses to make Gaga feel at home.”
