Lamar Odom Reportedly Still Has Trouble Remembering His Own Name

“He’s not doing great.”

It’s been about two months since Lamar Odom awoke from a four-day coma in a Las Vegas hospital, but according to a new report, the former NBA star is still suffering from major physical and mental impairments in the wake of what’s believed to have been a major drug overdose.

Struggling to walk and speak, Odom “definitely has some memory loss,” a source told Entertainment Tonight on Monday, as he “forgets a lot of people’s names -- sometimes even his own.”

Last month, wife Khloe Kardashian gave a similar update, when she told Ellen DeGeneres that he still does not know the series of events that led to his October hospitalization.

"We tell him that he had a brain injury, but we can’t tell him how that brain injury was caused, because that will set him back,” she said. “He never asks why he’s here. He doesn’t ask. He’s really confused a lot -- sometimes he knows who the president is and his birthday, and sometimes he thinks he’s 26, and I say, 'I bet you wish you were 26, so do I!'"

Odom was found in a brothel in Pahrump, Nevada, on Oct. 13, where he reportedly overdosed on cocaine and other drugs before falling into the coma. His plight led to a wide cry of support from around the NBA, while Kardashian and former Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant, among others, rushed to his bedside.

“He’s not doing great,” the source told ET.

Here’s hoping that we’ll see better Odom updates in the near future.
