Lane Bryant To Collaborate With Sophie Theallet On 'Risque' New Lingerie Line

Lane Bryant Teams Up With Sophie Theallet On 'Risque' New Lingerie Line

There's another new victory in the world of plus-size clothing. Lane Bryant announced Tuesday morning that they are collaborating on a new line of lingerie with fashion designer Sophie Theallet, Women's Wear Daily reports.

The retailer is a leading name in the plus-size industry, and has made continual strides to change their image to a younger, trendier and, now, more risque look since launching their first designer collaboration last year. The decision comes from the company's effort to make their clients feel like they have just as much of a right as anyone else to look and feel sexy:

We want to bring something special to our clients, and show that she doesn't have to be excluded from what many women enjoy. Beautiful clothing should not be limited to size 12 and under.

Theallet, a French designer who got her start working for Jean-Paul Gaultier and has been known to dress clients like Michelle Obama, often recreates her designs at lower price points for stores like the Limited, as well as the Gap. Her experience creating goods at a more affordable price point makes her an ideal choice for this collaboration.

The line debuts this fall, and will be available in sizes 14-28.
