Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R), who is undergoing cancer treatment, shared a photo of his “new aerodynamic look” in a humorous Facebook post on Tuesday.
“I may be losing hair follicles, but I’m winning the battle as we kill cancer cells like crazy,” said Hogan.
In the post, Hogan pointed out that he no longer has to spend time washing his hair and shaving. He also noted that his wife, Yumi, says he's "still sexy."
Last month, the governor announced he had advanced cancer of the lymph nodes and would begin chemotherapy. Hogan said his doctors told him his treatment had a "very strong chance of success."
During that announcement, Hogan joked about losing his hair during his treatment.
"Most likely I'm going to lose my hair. I won't have these beautiful gray locks," he said. "I may trim down a bit. But I won't stop working to change Maryland for the better."
Last week, after his second five-day round of chemotherapy, the governor had said he was "feeling strong" in another Facebook post.
The son of a former U.S. congressman, Hogan served as Maryland's secretary of appointments from 2003 to 2007. He defeated then-Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown (D) in an upset in last year's gubernatorial race.
