LA's Losers Of The Week, July 9

A weekly round-up of LA's big losers. To see the winners click here.

Lonnie Franklin Jr.: After eluding police for 25 years, the alleged "Grim Sleeper" was finally caught this week, in no small part thanks to a slice of pizza.

Max Vasquez: Loser of the week, or perhaps the week's most negligible winner, Vasquez was awarded a single US dollar in his suit against the Santa Paula Police for using a taser on him three years ago.

Leslie Van Houten: Say what you will about this former Manson follower convicted of two murders, one has to admire her persistence. Van Houten was denied parole for the 19th time this week, and will return to face the board in three years.

Beachgoers:June gloom has stretched well into July this year, with a seemingly never ending marine layer that seems to allow the sun out for precious few hours a day, if at all. Some even saw rain (WATER FROM THE SKY) this week. Fret not, forecasts call for this things to warm up just in time for you to return to work on Monday.
