'The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson': RZA Talks Directing Russell Crowe And Lucy Liu In 'The Man With the Iron Fists' (VIDEO)

RZA Talks Directing Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu

Several years ago, rapper and actor RZA was on "The Late Late Show" (Weeknights, 12:37 a.m. EST on CBS) talking about his aspirations to direct a film. He returned to share with Craig Ferguson that he'd done it. Scheduled to come out in October 2012, RZA created, developed, stars in and directed "The Man with the Iron Fists."

But the martial arts film has some other notable names as well. "He read it and he kind of dug what was going on," RZA said of Russell Crowe, who's taking top billing.

Ferguson approved of the choice, seemingly based solely on Russell Crowe's notorious telephone throwing incident. "Yeah that guy was a jerk," he said of the victim. "He needed a phone thrown at him!"

Crowe is joined in the film by Pam Grier, Rick Yune, Dave Batista and Lucy Liu. "Did you notice how attractive she was when you were [filming]?" Ferguson asked of Liu.

"Oh man, I had to keep my eyes focused," he admitted.
