Laurie Metcalf, Niecy Nash & More Join New HBO Pilot

HBO has added some big names to its new comedy pilot.

According to TVLine
, Laurie Metcalf, Niecy Nash and Alex Borstein have all joined HBO's medical pilot "Getting On," based on the BBC series of the same name.

Metcalf will play the socially challenged Jenna James, while Nash will appear as a "big-hearted practical nurse" who returns to her job after the real estate market crashes. Borstein will portray Dawn Forchette, a nurse who struggles with low self-esteem.

In other casting news...

Brett Dalton is headed to "S.H.I.E.L.D." The "Killing Lincoln" alum will portray a "skilled rising star" named Agent Grant in Joss Whedon's ABC Pilot. [THR]

Peter Cambor is returning to "NCIS: LA." Cambor will revisit his role as psychologist Nate Getz on a February episode of the CBS series. [EW]

Travis Van Winkle is "Hart Of Dixie"-bound. The "Happy Endings" actor is headed to the CW series in the recurring role of Jonah Breeland, a former Bluebell resident. [TVLine]

Karolina Kurkova is stopping by "Person of Interest." The supermodel will find herself in a terrifying situation when she guest stars as herself on the CBS series. [THR]
