Leah Remini is spilling oh so many secrets in her new book Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology.
Though she hasn't been shy while promoting the memoir with a People magazine cover story and a "20/20" interview, the book has plenty of bombshells of its own.
Tom Cruise's 2006 wedding to Katie Holmes is the subject of much fanfare in the book. Along with claims that the couple's then 7-month-old daughter Suri Cruise was left alone and crying in a bathroom, Remini recalls one particularly revealing conversation she had with Isabella Cruise, Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise's daughter.
While sharing an airport shuttle after the wedding with Bella and her brother Connor Cruise, Remini claims that she took the opportunity to ask the siblings why they didn't have a relationship with Kidman since their parents' divorce in 2001.
When asked if they saw their mother often, Isabella allegedly responded, "Not if I have a choice. Our mom is a f**king SP."
Of course, SP is Scientology shorthand for "Suppressive Person" and those labeled as such are considered an enemy to church members, who must "disconnect" from the community.
This isn't the first time there have been reports that Kidman was labeled an SP and was subsequently shunned by her children. In Maureen Orth's 2012 bombshell piece on the dissolution of Cruise and Holmes marriage, the Vanity Fair writer spoke to John Brousseau, a former Scientologist, bodyguard and brother-in-law to church leader David Miscavige, who also lived at Cruise's home. Brousseau claimed that Kidman's children took classes on how to identify a Suppressive Person and claims they once whispered to him, "Nicole is an SP! Our mom's an SP -- we hate going and seeing her."
In the past, Kidman herself implied that her relationship with her children was strained, telling GMTV in 2007, "My kids don't call me mommy, they don't even call me mom. They call me Nicole, which I hate and tell them off for it." But unlike Remini, Kidman has stayed mum about Scientology since her divorce from Cruise, refusing to budge when pressed by The Hollywood Reporter in 2013.
"I've chosen not to speak publicly about Scientology," Kidman said when probed. "I have two children who are Scientologists -- Connor and Isabella -- and I utterly respect their beliefs."
As for Kidman's children, Connor, now 20, responded to rumors that the controversial religion had caused a rift between them. "I love my [mom]. I don't care what people say," he told Australian magazine Women's Day in 2014. "I know that me and [mom] are solid. I love her a lot. My family means everything."
Isabella, whose October wedding was not attended by either one of her parents or her brother, said something similar to New Idea magazine in 2012.
