Legacy Recordings—the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment—today launches Jeff Buckley’s Record Collection, an online, interactive music site overseen by Buckley’s mother, Mary Guibert. Its intention is to enlighten listeners on recordings that influenced the artist such as those by Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Nina Simone, Robert Johnson, and many others. The site employs thirty second preview snippets of each track and uses Spotify for streaming the full song. Content is arranged in alphabetical order utilizing arrows and hovering over “album spines” for navigation. Also included is a button to sample Buckley’s latest release, You and I, a collection of his early studio material from 1993.
