Once upon a time, Lena Dunham wasn't disrobing on national TV, winning Golden Globes or declaring herself "the voice of a generation."

Before she was known as Hannah Horvath on HBO's "Girls," Dunham had a bit part in the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning HBO miniseries "Mildred Pierce," starring Kate Winslet, Guy Pearce, Evan Rachel Wood and Melissa Leo.

Centering on an overprotective mother struggling through the Great Depression, "Mildred Pierce" also featured Dunham making a cameo as a nurse. Although her face is only glimpsed once, her distinctive voice can clearly be heard saying, "Her temperature's rising Doctor Collins, it's one-hundred and four."

"Girls" airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on HBO.
