Lena Dunham is bringing more feminism to HBO with "Max," a new half-hour pilot about a woman trying to rise in the magazine world during the 1960s.

According to Variety, the pilot was written by "Girls" writer/producer Murray Miller, and will be executive-produced by Dunham as well as Jenni Konner and Ilene Landress.

Lisa Joyce -- who recently did excellent work with Adam Brody in Neil Labute's "Billy & Billie" -- is set to star.

Dunham and Konner recently launched the very feminist, very excellent newsletter Lenny, which featured an essay by Jennifer Lawrence on the gender pay gap in Hollywood earlier this week.
