Is Lena Dunham Done With Acting?

Earlier this week, Lena Dunham set off a wave of rumors that she may quit this whole acting thing.

"I don't know if I'm going to want to act anymore. I'm always relieved on the days I don't have to," the "Girls" creator told Glamour. Dunham has made a big name for herself as a multi-talented female in both television and indie film, but it seems like she wants to share the screen time wealth with other actresses. "I'd rather give parts to other women than be the woman having the parts," Dunham said.

But fear not, "Girls" fans, Dunham won't be leaving the screen anytime soon. E! News reports that when they caught up with the actress last night and asked if she was actually quitting, Dunham quickly replied, "No!"

"She's just a phenomenal writer. So I know she'll do whatever she feels like doing. I just hope she doesn't stop acting because she's so good," said Allison Williams of her "Girls" co-star.

Jemima Kirke chimed in with a funny truism. "Didn't Jay Z say he was going to quit rapping awhile ago?" she said. If Hova is still putting out music, we can likely count on a long acting career for Dunham.
