Lena Dunham’s costume Trumps them all.
The “Girls” creator dressed up as a “Grabbed Pussy” for Halloween, a play on Donald Trump’s despicable “grab them by the pussy” comments from a 2005 hot mic recording leaked to the Washington Post several weeks ago.
The 30-year-old translated the Republican presidential candidate’s remarks into a very literal costume, pairing a black leotard with a cat mask, paws and ears with two tiny Trump hands groping her body.
“Happy Halloween! With love from a Grabbed Pussy,” Dunham captured her photo, adding the hashtag “#imanasshole.”
As expected, the comments on Dunham’s Instagram page were divided. While some expressed their distaste for the controversial costume, other fans praised the author and actress as a “genius” for her creative take on The Donald.
Dunham has repeatedly voiced her disdain for Trump while campaigning on behalf of Hillary Clinton over the past few months.
“I am a pro-choice, feminist sexual assault survivor with a chronic reproductive illness,” the actress said at the Democratic National Convention in July. “Donald Trump and his party think I should be punished for exercising my constitutional rights. His rhetoric about about women takes us back to a time where we were meant to be beautiful and silent. Meanwhile, 22 years ago, Hillary Clinton declared that women’s rights are human rights.”
