The custody battle between "Game of Thrones" star Lena Headey and her estranged husband, Peter Loughran, continues to rage after the HBO star allegedly claimed her ex is "too reckless" to be trusted with their child, TMZ writes.

The outlet reports that Headey filed documents against Loughran in an attempt to block him from taking their 2-year-old son, Wylie, to Ireland. In the documents, Headey alleges Loughran has exhibited poor judgment and can't be trusted to care for the boy alone.

Headey allegedly cited two examples to prove her case, according to TMZ. The judge ultimately sided with the HBO star, and Loughran wasn't given permission to take the boy to Ireland.

The 39-year-old actress married the musician in May 2007.

After five years of marriage, Headey filed for divorce from Houghton in Los Angeles Superior County Court last July, citing "irreconcilable differences," People magazine reported. She requested joint legal and physical custody at the time.

While "Game of Thrones" is her most recognized work, the British actress has also appeared in films, such as "300," "The Brothers Grimm" and "Possession."

Season 3 of "Game of Thrones" will premiere on March 31.

UPDATE: 3/5 3:56 p.m. -- A lawyer for Headey sent a letter to TMZ on Tuesday claiming that the website inaccurately portrayed Loughran as an "unfit father" and highlighted "a statement that was inadvertently included in the court papers." Head over to TMZ to read more on the response.
