Let's Make Chicago A Job-Training Mecca

Could Chicago Become A Job-Training Hub?

In my last column I talked about how Chicago has done well to reduce the amount of red tape small businesses have to cut through. Still, we've only gone from being four times worse than other big cities like Los Angeles, Atlanta and Philadelphia to being roughly two times worse.

If Chicago wants to be a hotbed of entrepreneurship, it's not going to be good enough to just be in the neighborhood of what other cities are doing. We have to be better – ideally, the best.

Free job training programs is another area where I think we could work toward this goal.
