Oh, you won the Super Bowl? That's nice, Bill, but about those deflated footballs...
Bill Belichick wanted nothing to do with "Deflategate" on Wednesday during his appearance on the "Late Show with David Letterman." The Patriots coach repeatedly swatted down softball questions lobbed his way by the late-night host.
"I know you know exactly what happened," Letterman opened. "You know I know you know. And ... it was some kinda horseplay, am I right?"
"No," Belichick deadpanned, shaking his head.
"Wait a minute, I was told it was horseplay," Letterman responded.
"No," Belichick said.
That sequence essentially repeated itself several times, with Belichick ultimately punting on any substantive response until next month, when the NFL concludes its investigation.
Later in the interview, Belichick weighed in on the Seahawks' controversial last call of the game, as well as his relationship with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. (Watch that segment, below.)
