Levi Johnston holds nothing back in his new book, Deer in the Headlights, trashing Sarah Palin and her family on everything from her relationship with husband, Todd, to her complex relationship with daughter, Bristol. However, one regret Levi does have is ever talking about Palin's youngest child, Trig.
"I'm sure she didn't mean it like that," Johnston told me regarding his recounting of Palin calling her son "retarded." "That is maybe one thing I kind of wish I had took back just for his sake because I'm sure she wasn't, you know, meaning it that way."
Johnston also explained that Palin was often out of town, leaving baby Trig alone with him and Bristol.
"Bristol and I watched him and changed his diapers. So I definitely love that kid," Johnston told me on the set of "New York Live," sounding very sincere. He also blasted another tell-all book coming out about Palin that reveals the former governor used drugs.
"The Sarah I knew, you know, I've rarely seen her drink" Johnston told me last week of the woman he seems so keen on trying to destroy. "You know as far as cocaine and what-not I don't see that happening unless she turned into some rockstar now [that] she's a millionaire but I don't think so."
