Obama Doing Major Fundraising Swing Through New York City

President Barack Obama will be making a three-stop fundraising swing through Democratic donor-rich New York City on Wednesday, a campaign official tells The Huffington Post.

The president was already set to attend a relatively small event with LGBT activists that night in celebration of the progress the country has made on gay rights. That same evening, the campaign has now announced, he will be attending a fundraising event at a private residence, host a small dinner at an undisclosed restaurant and attend a holiday reception at the Sheraton Hotel.

The first event, according to a campaign official, will have a ticket price of $10,000. The next will encourage donations of $35,800, with proceeds split between the campaign fund and the Democratic National Committee. The last will be priced at $1,000. The events' hosts and attendees were not disclosed.

The line-up of festivities closely resemble the slate of events Obama attended during a June visit to New York, when he last attended an LGBT fundraiser (also held at the Sheraton).
