In honor of the occasion, we're taking a look at some of the best lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) political moments that made us proud during the last 12 months.
From President Barack Obama addressing LGBT citizens during his State of the Union address and Morehouse College commencement speech to Tammy Baldwin becoming the first openly gay senator in the United States, there were a slew of amazing moments, with each giving us a reason to smile and celebrate.
