Liberal Party's Leader In Canada Says He'll Quit Early

Just days after it appeared he might become prime minister, Stephane Dion said instead on Monday that he would accelerate his previously announced departure as leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.

The move increases the likelihood that Michael Ignatieff, a former director of a human rights center at Harvard University, could assume control of the party as soon as Wednesday.
