To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Liberty Ross filed for divorce from Rupert Sanders last week, six months after incriminating photographs of the director kissing Kristen Stewart were splashed across tabloid covers. But the cheating scandal was only the low point of a marriage already gone south, according to Us Weekly.
The publication quotes a source that says the 34-year-old British model "wasn't very happy, even before all this happened. Rupert put a lot of pressure on her to change her life for him and they moved to L.A. for him. She was such a big deal in England -- a bigger deal than him even." The source added that "Ross was so unhappy" and that Rupert "putting himself first" took its "toll."
Ross and Sanders were married for 10 years. They share two children, Skyla, 7, and Tennyson, 5. In July 2012, the 42-year-old "Snow White and the Huntsman" director was photographed intimately embracing 22-year-old Stewart, who was then dating (and has since reconciled with) Robert Pattinson. Both parties admitted to an affair at the time, releasing separate public statements.
