Library Advocacy Day: As More Branches Are Cut, Library Usage Soars (VIDEO)

Today is Library Advocacy Day, and it couldn't come at a more crucial time, as library branches are being cut with greater and greater frequency. Despite naysayer claims that libraries are not necessary in the digital age, library usage has increased dramatically since the start of the recession -- the ALA's (American Library Association) video below notes that there are more Americans with library cards now than at any time since records have been kept.
