Life After Divorce: Why One Blogger Attended Her Ex's Wedding

In a blog post published last month, Tara Ellison wrote about what it was like to attend her ex's wedding -- which she did after much deliberation and encouragement from her daughter, who was the flower girl.

And in a HuffPost Live segment that aired Wednesday, Ellison elaborated on the experience.

"Luckily it played out well," Ellison said. "But I was very anxious about it and I really lost a lot of sleep about it."

One of the hardest things for Ellison was figuring out what to wear.

"There was the wicked part of me that wanted to wear something red and just be like the evil ex-wife and revel in that status," she said. "But, you know, I had to be more respectful and I chose something that was not too out there."
