Could 'Life Of Crime' Be Jennifer Aniston's Next Great Movie?

Jennifer Aniston's film career hasn't surprised us much since "The Good Girl," and that was in 2002. Now, with "Life of Crime," we're thrilled to see her star in a movie that isn't in the interchangeable vein of "Rumor Has It..."/"He's Just Not That into You"/"Just Go With It"/"We're the Millers"/the list goes on.

Aniston appears alongside John Hawkes, Yasiin Bey (you know him as Mos Def), Isla Fisher, Will Forte and Tim Robbins in the crime comedy, which is based on the 1978 Elmore Leonard novel "The Switch" (no relation to the 2010 Aniston movie). Aniston's character, Mickey Dawson, is kidnapped so two criminals (Hawkes and Mos Def) can collect ransom from her husband (Robbins). Little do they know, said hubby has a paramour (Fisher) and no desire to get her back. So what else is there to do but join in on the scheme?

"Life of Crime" earned positive reviews when it premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. It opens Aug. 29.
