If we're not looking out for Lily Collins' bold brows and colorful lips, we definitely have an eye on her style.
The actress transformed into Thumbelina for aCR Fashion Book online exclusive, which has a fairytale theme. Dressed in Christian Dior from head to toe, Collins poses pretty and talks about the inspiration behind her personal style.
Collins' fashion decisions started very young, when she saw a piece she just couldn't resist. "I remember going into a store with my mom in Dublin when I was four or five years old and spotting this amazing pink furry coat with a hood," she tells the magazine. "I thought it was the most incredible thing ever and when we bought it they had to lift me over the register to scan the price tag because I refused to take it off."
Although that was a only a fragment of her childhood, her current style is deeply rooted in the inspiration she had as an adolescent. "I grew up adoring fashion and admiring designers because my mom introduced me to so many different styles of clothing and always let me express myself through my outfits -- no matter how wacky and crazy they were," Collins explains.
Later, Collins says, that she has her mother to thank, as she gave her the chance to "have an incredible respect for vintage, classic as well as modern design." Aren't moms the coolest?
And the 25-year-old starlet left us with some solid advice: "Wear your clothes. Don’t let clothes wear you."
