Miranda is currently set to star alongside Emily Blunt in Disney’s sequel to “Mary Poppins” as a street lamplighter named Jack. “Mary Poppins Returns” will debut on Christmas Day in 2018, but “Hamilton” fans can catch a Miranda masterpiece much sooner when Disney’s “Moana” premieres this November. The actor wrote all of the songs for the animated film.

It’s unlikely we’ll see “The Little Mermaid” until 2020, but Miranda has been teasing us with renditions of the original songs on the Disney Animation Instagram, which he has taken over in preparation of the release of “Moana.” In a post featuring the movie’s promotional poster, Miranda shared that the original “Little Mermaid” “changed [his] life forever.”
