Lisa Guerrero, an investigative journalist for Inside Edition, stopped in at The Huffington Post's Oasis and gave us a peek into how someone who chases bad guys for a living can find moments of peace. Check out her answers below to find out how she finds balance in the unpredictable.
How do you unplug and recharge?
I chase bad guys for a living on planes three times a week. In between every shoot I schedule a massage, drink tons of coconut water to hydrate and throw tons of moisturizer and conditioner on. I love Moroccan oil.
How many hours of sleep do you get each night?
Not enough. Five hours last night. When not working I sleep 10 hours.
What's your top beauty tip (can be for inner or outer beauty!)?
Smiles -- natural facelift! When I approach a bad guy with a smile, I'm more likely to get an interview. Most investigative reporters don't smile.
What's your quick health fix to restore your energy?
Take five minutes and meditate -- even in a surveillance van. Think about a quiet space and not the work: makes a huge difference.
What foods keep you balanced?
Fish, vegetables, light foods. [I don't eat] meat on the road, but a couple times a month [I will] for iron. I always have almonds and foods for energy without the fat -- lots of fruit, dried fruit. Health bars and Vita Coco.
