Lisa Kudrow To Join 'Scandal' For Season 3 Guest Arc

Her 'Scandal'-ous New Role

Excellent news, gladiators -- "Friends" alumna Lisa Kudrow is set to guest star on "Scandal" in Season 3, ABC confirmed via Twitter on Wednesday.

Kudrow -- who also produces Showtime comedy "Web Therapy" and TLC's "Who Do You Think You Are?" with "Scandal" star Dan Bucatinsky -- will recur as a politician in the new season of the ABC hit, although further details about her character are currently as elusive as a B613 agent. (Is it too much to ask for her to be named Regina Phalange?)

Star Tony Goldwyn recently told HuffPost TV that when we rejoin "Scandal" next season, "all hell is breaking loose at the White House over [someone leaking the truth about Fitz and Olivia's affair], and Fitz is kind of trying to regain his center. I think he's kind of the calm in the storm, in a way. He's really determined to be a stabilizing force, if that's even possible, because everyone is running around like chickens with their heads cut off. And Fitz is not having that. We'll see him trying to think clear-headedly, even though that's extremely difficult because he gets kind of buffeted at every turn."

Goldwyn also promised that we'll learn more about Fitz's mysterious past with Jake (Foley): "There's a lot of dark tunnels we're gonna be going down, I suspect, that dig up more details about Fitz and Jake," he teased.
