Woman Arrested After Allegedly Chasing Black Teen With Bat And Threatening To Hang His Family

A woman was arrested on Sunday after allegedly chasing a group of black teens with a baseball bat and threatening them, telling one, "I hang your family from my tree,” according to a Lake County, Florida, arrest affidavit.

The incident was recorded on camera by a 16-year-old boy who told authorities that Lisa Marie Elberson, 29, chased him and his friends down a street in Clermont, Florida, while calling them "n****r," even spitting on them at one point.

The teens got into an argument with Elberson’s husband on Sunday, according to the affidavit. When the teens passed Elberson’s house later in the day, there was another dispute, the Orlando Sentinel reported. After they walked away from the house, Elberson grabbed a black Louisville Slugger and aggressively approached them, according to the police report. The report also states that one teen said he saw Elberson swing the bat at his friend.

Elberson's husband maintains that his wife merely yelled at the teens and did not threaten them with the bat, but the video of the incident appears to suggest otherwise.

After deputies saw it, they arrested Elberson at the restaurant where she works, charging her with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery and child abuse.

She was released on bail Tuesday around 6 p.m., a Lake County Jail official told The Huffington Post.
