David Wood is the senior military correspondent for The Huffington Post. He has been a journalist since 1970, a staff correspondent successively for Time magazine, the Los Angeles Times, Newhouse News Service and the Baltimore Sun. A birthright Quaker and former conscientious objector, he covers military issues, foreign affairs and combat operations, and has been a Pulitzer Prize finalist for national reporting.

Bobby Henline is a former staff sergeant in the 82nd Airborne who suffered deep burns to his face, left arm and a hand that was later amputated. Henline, who now performs as a stand-up comedian, is profiled in the final installment of "Beyond The Battlefield." He also discusses his feelings about people's reactions to how his appearance was changed by his burns in the seventh of the 10 stories.
