This is one of my favorite videos -- ever! I watch it weekly -- or when I'm lagging in energy and fortitude or the news of the outside world that can be so brutal and callous drags me down. I saw it on PBS' A Path Appears from Nick Kristoff and his wife, Sheryl WuDunn.

Here is Eunice, a fifth grader at the Kibera School for Girls, and as they said in the documentary, she is fiercely smart and creative. She lives in Kibera, Kenya, with her brother and parents, and they stuggle each day with the challenges of living in such terrible urban settlement conditions: unemployment, grinding poverty, and how to retain broken and seemingly unsurmountable dreams.

Eunice says she will become a doctor to serve the Kiberian people. She believes powerfully in her dreams. And I believe her.

Let her inspire you often with this video! I've written her a letter to thank her for the wise words she's shared with the world.
