Called "Generations," the ad highlights Cheney's Wyoming roots, showing scenes of her daughter horseback riding and celebrating her children as "fifth-generation Wyomingites."
According to Politico, Cheney reserved $55,838 in airtime over the next nine days for the 60-second ad, including $32,500 for the Casper, Wyo. area, where she lived for a few years.
In a recent ad that aired throughout Wyoming, Cheney was targeted for not having conservative enough views on gay marriage. She has said she is "not pro-gay marriage," and has been publicly criticized as "dead wrong" on gay marriage by her sister, Mary Cheney, who is lesbian. Still, the conservative group American Principles Fund targeted Cheney for appearing on MSNBC to "support government benefits for gay couples."
The attack ad said Cheney is "wrong for Wyoming."
Cheney is challenging Sen. Mike Enzi (R).
