A&E Orders More 'Longmire'

"Longmire" will continue policing A&E. The network has ordered a second season of the new summer show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Starring Robert Taylor, Lou Diamond Phillips and Katee Sackhoff, "Longmire" follows Walt Longmire, a sheriff in Wyoming, who recently lost his wife. The A&E series is based on the book by Craig Johnson.

"Longmire" premiered on June 3, 2012 to 4.1 million viewers. The June 24 episode had 3.8 million viewers. The series premiere of "Longmire" holds the title of A&E's most-watched scripted debut ever.

The series airs Sundays, 10 p.m. ET on A&E.
