Lorde Rants About Fame On Twitter, Calls The Attention A 'Lecherous Gaze'

Lorde Is Famous Enough To Rant About How She Hates Being Famous

Lorde has been in the big league for a while now, ever since her song "Royals" shattered records. But it might have been her recent win at the Grammys that cemented her as a celebrity par excellence. And Lorde is not happy.

The 17-year-old took to Twitter Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 28) to voice her disdain for the paparazzi, fame and all the "frightening" attention she's been getting.

there is a difference between attn from fans, which i love, and the constant, often lecherous gaze that i'm subjected to in this industry

i know that success comes with a price tag. it just sucks when you see that in your tiny home country where you previously felt safe.
