The "Lost" ending is finally being explained ... or maybe not.

Damon Lindelof, one of the show's executive producers and showrunners, took to Twitter to answer a fan's question about the hotly-debated "Lost" series finale.

Many fans have speculated what -- if any -- of the happenings on the island actually happened. Viewers will remember the "Lost" ending revealed that in the flash sideways scenes, the characters were in a sort of limbo. The ending saw the castaways reunite in a church and move on to the afterlife together. In the island timeline, Jack died while the remaining island survivors were saved. Vincent, Walt's Yellow Labrador was by Jack's side as he died.
