It's an ancient battle.
A new fight has emerged between China and Japan over which country houses the world’s oldest living person.
In December, Guinness World Records declared Jiroemon Kimura of Japan the oldest living person at 115.
But Kimura's title is being challenged by Lou Meizhen of Bama, China, who claims to be 127-years-old, according to Shanghaiist.
Lou says she was born in 1885, however birth certificates in her native region were only recorded after the Communist takeover in 1949, according to Yahoo News. Her proof of age is a faded copy of her ID.
The world's oldest person on record was French woman, Jeanne Calment, who died at 122 in 1997.
