'Love In The Wild' Premiere: Girls Have All The Power As Couples Become Threesomes (VIDEO)

'Love In The Wild': Couples Become Trios As Women Have Power

NBC's adventure dating game was back with a new host as Jenny McCarthy introduced the seven single women and seven single men who would participate in the second season of "Love in the Wild" (Tue., 9 p.m. ET on NBC). Only there were a few twists and turns along the way, to keep even those who may have watched the first season on their toes.

After pairing them up, McCarthy introduced the first twist, which was seven additional men. For this first challenge, they'd be working in trios and the women would have all the power. At the elimination ceremony, all seven women would be safe, while half of the men would be sent packing. That made connections more crucial than ever during these first few days.

The next twist had to do with their accommodations. Last season, the first place finisher of each challenge got to spend their nights at the Oasis, while everyone else hung out in the still fairly nice cabins. This season, there are worse accommodations to deal with for those who come in toward the end of the challenge. They could sleep in a tent, or even worse, virtually uncovered completely.

While there were too many faces to get to know anyone -- despite this being a two-hour season premiere -- things settled down in the end as the seven true couples that would seek love were finally determined in a wild elimination ceremony. Let the games begin!

"Love in the Wild" settles into its regular time slot with next week's episode, Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
