Former editor-in-chief of Self magazine, Lucy Danziger, spoke at today's Thrive conference, The Huffington Post's second Third Metric conference on redefining success beyond the two metrics of money and power, of recently being asked to leave her position.
Rather than viewing the departure as a life-shattering experience, though, Danziger is finding the good. "When that happens, you walk out of the building and you say 'thank you' -- because it's been a great ride," she said.
When you have a sense of who you are as a person -- and as a brand -- you know the skills you have to offer. "Bring that to the world with no shame," she said. "Know your value and go get that value."
