Lawmaker Calls Out 'Hypocritical' Supreme Court

Nevada Assemblywoman Lucy Flores (D) spoke out about the Supreme Court's decision regarding abortion clinic buffer zones during a Wednesday interview with HuffPost Live.

Flores noted the Supreme Court's hypocrisy in maintaining their own buffer zone while prohibiting such zones around abortion clinics. The court ruled unanimously last month in McCullen v. Coakley that such buffer zones violate First Amendment free speech rights.

"It's actually very interesting as well that they have quite the extended buffer zone in front of the Supreme Court -- it's for obviously the same purposes of ensuring that people are safe that you're not being basically harassed while you're living your life ... That I thought was absolutely almost hypocritical," Flores said.

Flores noted that there has been a string of rulings against women, which should encourage women to fight for their reproductive rights.
