The League of United Latin American Citizens is condemning shock video entrepreneur Luke Montgomery for his abuse of Latino children in his obscenity-laced video about Donald Trump. Montgomery's controversial antics and false reporting are being used to discredit the legitimate efforts of Latino and immigrant organizations to fight back against Donald Trump's bigoted comments against Latinos.

The video, in which under-age Latino children shout obscenities, is clearly an abuse of these children by the publicity-seeking Montgomery, who has produced a series of shocking videos. Other videos produced by Montgomery include children directed to curse on topics such as feminism, racism, LGBT rights, police shootings, etc. The videos all appear to promote Montgomery's various political action committees (PAC) and T-shirt sales.

Deport Racism is Montgomery's latest business venture. The PAC was recently filed with the Federal Elections Commission on September 8, 2015. Montgomery's name is the only one listed on the paperwork, yet he misleads the public by stating that DeportRacism.com is a movement of Latinos, immigrants and social progressives.

Media outlets including Fox News, NBC News, and dozens of newspapers and websites have been falsely reporting that Deport Racism is a Latino advocacy group. In addition, the media has reported that Deport Racism helped organize the Latino protests outside of 30 Rockefeller Plaza that took place last week and have identified Luke Montgomery as a Latino activist.

Meanwhile, Montgomery is getting exactly what he craves: non-stop media attention and plenty of plays for his abusive shock video.

The League of United Latin American Citizens calls on the media to accurately report the facts related to Montgomery's activity. Specifically, Montgomery's abusive video was not produced by Latino groups and is not support by the Latino community. In addition, Deport Racism is not a Latino advocacy organization. Rather, a recently created PAC by Montgomery alone. Finally, LULAC requests that the media make it clear that Deport Racism was not involved in the anti-Trump protests outside of NBC studios in New York City this past week.

We hope that going forward, media outlets think twice before providing Luke Montgomery free air time to showcase his obscene video. Providing coverage to Montgomery only serves to perpetuate a false reality and undermines the good work of legitimate Latino and progressive organizations across the country.
