L'Wren Scott's Banana Republic Collection Is The Retailer's Most Glam Yet (PHOTOS)

Banana Republic Is Getting A Glam Makeover

When you count Princess Beatrice, Sarah Jessica Parker and Nicole Kidman as your top customers, it's hard to imagine you'd ever go high street. But it seems that Banana Republic has finally convinced L'Wren Scott to whip up some offerings for the masses.

The Banana Republic L’Wren Scott holiday collection, themed "modern collegiate," will hit stores in December. Hoping to snag one of Scott's signature sheaths or well-constructed jeans? You're in luck -- the designer says the 50-piece line will include slim-fitting dresses along with printed pants. And she didn't skimp on the fabrics, opting for brocade, velvet, sequins and a few of her hand-drawn prints.

"I'm never in a rush to finish a line," she told The Huffington Post at the launch of her eyewear collection last November, "and I always think you have to wait until you think it's the right moment for you and your customer. I love to listen to what my customers' needs are."

It looks like she heard our pleas, because Scott's significantly lowered her price range for the Banana Republic line. Clothes are priced from $39.50 to $165, and accessory prices range $39.50 to $198. So come December, we can all finally look like the leggy, glam rocker's girlfriend we know we are. Let's just hope Scott's campaign gets better reviews than Banana Republic's mod collection...
