Lynn University, Presidential Debate: Prof. Robert Watson Predicts 'Romney Will Get Muscular On Cuba' (WATCH)

Lynn University will host the final debate between President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney -- their third debate and the fourth overall 2012 clash between the Democratic and Republican presidential tickets -- later today, October 22nd, when Obama and Romney face off in Boca Raton, Fla.

Huffington Post Executive Education Editor Lance Gould spoke with Robert Watson, professor and director of American Studies at Lynn, about the presidential debate, which will be moderated by CBS's Bob Schieffer and which will focus on foreign policy.

Watson noted that the focus on foreign policy will be so important because, citing, Libya, Syria, Iran and the Arab Spring generally, "I cannot think of a time since World War II when there have been this many huge foreign-policy challenges."

The Florida-based professor also noted the role that the Sunshine State will play on the debate, as the important swing state will weigh heavily on both candidates' messaging.

"Romney will get muscular on Cuba, because we have a large Cuban-American population that votes based on that," said Watson. "Obama and Romney will be reassuring voters that they stand with Israel, and I think both of them do and will, because we have a large Jewish population. They're both going to be reassuring voters on Social Security and Medicare because we have large senior population... They're going to be pitching Florida in a big way when they're down here."

All four debates are sponsored by the nonpartisan CPD.
