M. Night Shyamalan and Marti Noxon are teaming for a new Syfy pilot, "Proof."

Noxon and Shyamalan will co-write and executive produce the project with Shyamalan attached to direct the pilot, Syfy announced Friday. "Proof" follows the son of a billionaire technology guru whose parents suddenly die in a tragic accident. The son then offers a large reward to anyone who can find proof of life after death.

Ashwin Rajan, the head of Shyamalan's Blinding Edge label, will also serve as executive producer.

Noxon's TV credits include "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Mad Men" and "Glee." Shyamalan became well-known for his twisty feature films including "The Sixth Sense" and "Signs." He recently wrapped "After Earth" starring Will Smith.

Syfy is also getting in a business with Bryan Fuller. The network has ordered "High Moon," a pilot based on John Christopher's novel "The Lotus Caves." Fuller will serve as an executive producer along with Matthew O'Connor, Lisa Richardson, Tom Rowe, Robert Halmi Sri. and Jim Danger Gray. The pilot was written by Gray based on a story by Fuller and Gray.

"High Moon" takes place in an imagined future where Earth has colonized the moon. A new life form is discovered and creates chaos as the humans attempt to harness its secrets.

"Bryan and Jim have brought John Christopher's book to life in an incredibly vivid and imaginative way," Mark Stern, president of original content at Syfy and co-head of original content at Universal Cable Productions, said in a statement. "This is a fresh and compelling vision of an exotic new world driven by character, intrigue and greed."

There's no word yet on casting for either pilot.
