Macklemore and wife Tricia Davis announced they were expecting a child in January of 2015, and now their baby girl is here. The rapper, whose real name is Ben Haggerty, took to Instagram Sunday to share a photo of himself napping with newborn daughter, Sloane Ava Simone Haggerty.
The "Same Love" singer captioned the photo, which shows smiling baby Sloane swaddled in a blanket next to her father, "There is nothing better."
"She's a big baby," said Macklemore in a MTV News mini-documentary. "She's a 10-pound baby, and [has] a big-ass head and I was like, 'This is, this is my child.' It's this unconditional love that happens instantaneously."
Macklemore has shared photos of his newborn on Instagram over the past few weeks, including one of baby Sloane hanging out with her dad on the set of a music video and another in a Seattle Seahawks jersey.
The rapper also wrote a song for his first child, called "Sloane's Song," about two months ago. Featuring Ed Sheeran and Ryan Lewis, you can hear a clip of the song below and hear the full version on YouTube here.
