"Mad Dog" Chris Russo Gets $15 Million Sirius XM Contract, Will Headline Sports Talk Channel

As expected, Chris "Mad Dog" Russo has landed a five-year contract with Sirius XM Radio, the satcaster announced Tuesday (Aug. 19). Russo, formerly one-half of the Mike and the Mad Dog Show on WFAN-AM, will headline a new sports Talk channel.

The five-year contract was reportedly worth about $15 million.

Beginning Sept. 15, Russo will host The Mad Dog Sports Show weekday afternoons from 2 to 7 p.m. ET on the newly-launched Mad Dog Radio channels on Sirius channel 123 and XM channel 144. The simulcast channels will cover the spectrum of sports with Talk, interviews, news and live remotes from sporting events.
