Madonna may be an iconic popstar but she's also known for her taste in younger men. The 53-year-old is currently dating 24-year-old Brahim Zaibat and dated then 22-year-old Brazilian model Jesus Lutz after her split from Guy Ritchie.
And it's that track record with younger guys that has the online dating website, Cougarlife.com offering her $300,000 to record a song and video for their site, reports RadarOnline.
The website describes itself as "the premier online dating service that pairs women in their prime with younger men and ends the double standard!"
RadarOnline obtained the offer letter sent to the pop star's rep, which says Madonna is "without a doubt the queen of Cougars," and as such the website is interested in forming a partnership.
The letter proposes that Madge write a song and accompanying video for the site that must be released by Valentines Day. The company also promises that if the song and video do well on the charts and online she'll receive an extra $700,000.
Madonna's image has taken a bit of a hit recently -- she publicly dissed a bouquet of hydrangeas given to her by a fan at the Venice Film Festival and a video of the incident quickly went viral online. Perhaps more surprising than the outburst, was the statement her rep released regarding the incident:
"She's entitled to like any flower she wants and she didn't want to hurt the feeling of the hydrangeas of the world," her rep said (via CNN). "No disrespect to the hydrangeas lovers of the world but she prefers different types of flowers."
That type of behavior isn't helping the one-time Queen of Pop, who is being sued by her neighbor, recently dissed Lady Gaga, and has human right's groups irritated with her choice to thank Nazi sympathizers, John Galliano and Leni Riefenstahl, in the credits of her film "W.E."
According to The Daily, Abraham Foxman, the national director of The Anti-Defamation League said they were surprised with the lack of sensitivity by Madonna or her people.
"The fact that she practices Kabbalah or whatever does not make her an instant expert on history, Jewish history, or sensitivity," he told the paper, adding that she should simply remove the offending names from the credits to correct the problem.
With negative publicity bubbling, perhaps bringing couples together via the dating site could do her image some good.
