Sometimes, the world looks better in black and white. It just does.
Take, for example, the gorgeous photography of Germany-based Maik Lipp. The artist known also as usrdck captures minimalist images of architecture around the world. From daunting snapshots of skyscrapers to abstract, up-close portraits of bridges, the black-and-white photographs capture a decadent, almost glamorous side to building we often forget exists.
The beauty of the architectural photography lies almost entirely in the monochromatic filter through which Lipp views the world. Sure, the images' perspective and subject matter are breathtaking on their own, but there's something about that B&W lens that takes the series to another level.
