Have you ever been in the middle of applying your makeup, rummaging through your cosmetics bag, only to find that crucial product or tool was totally MIA? It happened to makeup artist Jake Bailey (he's worked with Katy Perry and Angelina Jolie, to name a few) on set, of all places. With no time to run out and get new brushes, Bailey had to wing it with what was lying around. Turns out his pinch-hitter came in the form of a box of tissues. "I had to figure ot how to do the makeup without any brushes," he told us. Bailey was able to create a smokey eye that looked just as smoldering, and nobody was the wiser.
Bailey recently stopped by the HuffPost offices to give us a quick step-by-step on perfecting the sultry eye look with tissues. Even if you do have all your tools ready, we think you should reconsider the total genius and simplicity of this household staple.
