Usually the only time people line up to go to a mall at midnight is on Black Friday, but this upcoming Thursday is another type of holiday in the state of Minnesota: the first day same-sex marriages become legal in the "Land of 10,000 Lakes."

After passing the bill back in May, on Thursday Minnesota will officially become the 13th state to allow same-sex marriages, and there will be numerous midnight marriages and celebrations to mark the occasion in cities across the state, including the Mall of America.

At 12:01 this Thursday, the nation's largest mall will host a midnight marriage ceremony between Holli Bartelt and Amy Petrich, a lesbian couple who have been together for two years. The pair are to be wed in the mall's Chapel of Love.

The couple, who were engaged in a photo booth at the mall, have decided to bring their wedding full circle and host the ceremony in the shopping mecca. According to the Associated Press, Bartelt's two children, who are 9 and 10, will also be in attendance and dressed in orange and blue, the colors that symbolize marriage equality.

Congrats to the happy brides-to-be and bravo to Mall of America for opening their chapel doors on this happy day!
