Mealbreaker (n.): a nasty, non-edible surprise found in food while it is being eaten; often lawsuit-provoking, sometimes fabricated, always disgusting.
Eating fried chicken can ruin your diet, upset your stomach and make you feel like you are sweating grease. A negative consequence that is not expected, however, is swallowing a two-inch coil along with your two-piece chicken meal. Fifty-year-old bus driver Lajzer Grynsztajn claims he nearly choked to death on such a coil after ordering two chicken breasts and fries from JFK Fried Chicken in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, reports the New York Daily News.
Grynsztajn started coughing blood after leaving the eatery. According to court papers, he had to be put under anesthesia before the coil could be dislodged.
